Face Fit Course Description
 
A face fit testing course is designed to train individuals in the correct fitting, checking and testing of tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
 
The course ensures compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, including the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, and demonstrates how to verify that a respirator forms an effective seal against the wearer's face. This is essential for ensuring the equipment provides the intended level of protection from hazardous airborne contaminants, such as dust, fumes, fibres, mists and vapours.
 
Through a combination of theoretical instruction and practical assessment, delegates will learn the importance of face fit testing, how facial features can affect the performance of respiratory protection, and the procedures required to achieve and maintain a safe, effective fit in the workplace.
 
This course is suitable for employers, managers, supervisors and workers who are required to wear tight-fitting respiratory protective equipment as part of their duties.
